Department of Fine Arts

Message from the Chairperson

Ayesha Khaliq
Welcome to the Department of Fine Arts—where creativity finds its voice and imagination takes form. Our department is dedicated to nurturing artistic talent, critical thinking, and cultural awareness in a supportive and inspiring environment. We believe that art is not only a means of expression but also a powerful tool for dialogue, innovation, and social impact. Our programs are designed to provide students with both strong theoretical foundations and practical studio experience. Through well-equipped studios, dedicated faculty, and a dynamic learning environment, we aim to cultivate creativity, originality, and technical mastery among our students. In our Bachelor’s program, students have the opportunity to specialize in four dynamic majors: Painting, Miniature Painting, Sculpture, and Printmaking. Each major is designed to develop strong technical skills while encouraging originality and conceptual depth. From the rich traditions of miniature art to the bold expressions of contemporary sculpture and print, our programs blend heritage with modern perspectives. Through dedicated studio practice, exhibitions, and professional guidance, we prepare our students to become confident artists and creative professionals ready to contribute to the evolving world of art. Our department strives to promote research, exhibitions, community engagement, and collaborations that contribute meaningfully to society and the cultural landscape. I warmly invite aspiring artists to join us in this inspiring journey of creativity, expression, and professional excellence. Together, let us shape a future where art continues to enrich lives and transform communities. “Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” —Malcolm X
