Directorate of Student Affairs

Overview

The Directorate of Student Affairs at Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) envisions a transformative student experience that extends beyond the classroom to shape confident, creative, and socially responsible individuals. As a cornerstone of student life, the Directorate is committed to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging campus environment where every student is empowered to discover and realize her full potential.
Guided by a commitment to excellence, the Directorate promotes a culture of leadership, innovation, and collaboration through a diverse range of co-curricular and extra-curricular initiatives. It actively nurtures student talent in sports, arts, literature, music, and culture, with a dedicated Sports Unit that provides structured opportunities for physical development, teamwork, and competitive excellence at both intra- and inter-university levels. Simultaneously, it encourages participation in community engagement and social entrepreneurship to develop a strong sense of civic responsibility.
Recognizing the importance of accessibility and equity in education, the Directorate also facilitates financial assistance and scholarships to support deserving students, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic and personal growth. The office further strengthens student development through internships, capacity-building initiatives, and strategic collaborations with national and international organizations.
In addition, the Directorate plays a vital role in upholding discipline and ethical conduct, while enhancing institutional visibility through effective social media outreach, and alumni relations.
By building strong connections within and beyond the University, it creates pathways for meaningful exposure, skill development, and lifelong engagement.
At its core, the Directorate of Student Affairs strives to inspire a generation of empowered women who are not only academically accomplished but also equipped with the vision, resilience, and leadership qualities to contribute positively to society.

Throughout the year, we reaffirmed our dedication to cultivating a dynamic and inclusive student community by arranging a wide range of engaging activities. These included ‘Dil Ki Baat’ sessions, meaningful interactions with the Student Council, as well as recreational events such as kitchen cook-offs and competitive badminton and basketball tournaments. All these initiatives were designed to strengthen a sense of belonging and foster mutual connection among our students. Moreover, our Student Affairs Directorate achieved remarkable success by hosting mega events that attracted over 8,00 delegates from 40 plus universities from across Pakistan in our Annual RWU Rising Pakistan (Inter – Universities Competitions). Additionally, our student ambassadors represented RWU with distinction in different Universities.

Further, I take pride in initiating a “Student Mentorship program”-SMP where various workshops, seminars are conducted regarding student communication skills, resume writing, stress management and soft skills development.
Our Directorate conducted Annual Job Fair; hosting 30 plus organisations. In another achievement, they included the alumna in RWU quarterly news letter under Alumni Stories section. Multiple mock interviews and career counseling session has been conducted. Our Alumni section is working hard to contact all the alumni and regulary conduct alumni surveys.
Our Sports Office is actively participating in national level games and has the honor of hosting All-Pakistan Women Rowing Championship 2025–2026. Annual sports gala is organized where all 15 departments actively participate. Additionally, hosted the 8th All Pakistan Intervarsity Chess Competition and verage: Opening ceremony of Prime Minister’s Talent Hunt Youth Sports League Judo (Women).
Financial Aid and Scholarship is working hard in assisting students with various scholarship opportunities.
