3rd All Pakistan Inter-University Idea Fest 2026 Held at RWU

Rawalpindi: Rawalpindi Women University successfully organized the 3rd All Pakistan Inter-University Idea Fest 2026, an academic and innovation competition aimed at promoting entrepreneurial skills, leadership qualities, and problem-solving abilities among young minds.

This year’s Idea Fest brought together 122 teams from 19 universities across Pakistan, who presented innovative, practical, and impactful projects spanning business, technology, social sciences, and other disciplines. Participants impressed the audience and expert judges with their professional insight, creative thinking, and forward-looking solutions to contemporary national challenges.

In her message, Vice Chancellor Rawalpindi Women University, Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (PoP, T.I) stated that Idea Fest is not merely a competition, but an effective platform that prepares young minds to face future challenges through creativity, innovation, research, and entrepreneurial vision. She emphasized that in today’s rapidly evolving world, fresh ideas, unique concepts, and practical solutions form the foundation of sustainable progress. She further highlighted that Idea Fest provides students with a valuable opportunity to present their ideas, gain mentorship from experts, learn from talented students representing different universities, and stay informed about emerging trends. She added that the event is not simply about winning or losing, but about discovering new ideas that help refine students’ intellectual, professional, and leadership capabilities.

In the IT Category, Ayesha Parveen and her team from Rawalpindi Women University secured first position, while Rabia Noor and her team from National University of Modern Languages secured second position. In the Botany and Chemistry Category, Rania Bibi from Kohsar University Murree won first position, while Laiba Masood from Rawalpindi Women University secured second position. In the Sociology and Psychology Category, Fiza Gul and her team secured first position, while Hina Iqbal and her team secured second position, with both teams representing Rawalpindi Women University. In the Business Administration Category, Maliha Khan from FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences won first position, while Zulqarnain from Riphah International University secured second position. Similarly, in the Physics/Computer Science Category, the team from Air University secured first position, while Alishba Hameed from Rawalpindi Women University won second position.

Participating universities included University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, COMSATS University Islamabad, Fatima Jinnah Women University, Foundation University Islamabad, Riphah International University, International Islamic University Islamabad, HITEC University, University of Wah, and FAST National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, among other universities of country.

The projects were evaluated by a panel of 10 distinguished judges representing academia, industry, entrepreneurship, and the corporate sector. Projects were assessed on key criteria including innovation, practicality, market potential, sustainability, and social impact.

Addressing the closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rooh ul Amin, Head, Department of English, appreciated the creativity and entrepreneurial spirit demonstrated by the participants and commended Rawalpindi Women University for providing such an effective platform for the youth.

At the conclusion of the event, Prof. Dr. Rooh ul Amin, Dr. Shahzad Hussain, Head, Department of Business Administration, and Ms. Khadija Saeed, Director Student Affairs, presented honorary shields to the judges and focal persons, while prizes and certificates were distributed among the winning teams in recognition of their outstanding performance.
