4th Institutional Quality Circle meeting (Nov 11, 2025)
Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) held the 4th meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) on November 11, 2025, chaired by Prof Dr Bushra Mirza (PoP, TI), Vice Chancellor at the VC Secretariat. The meeting was attended by Heads of Academic and Administrative Departments, where Dr. Baqir Hussnain, Director QEC/IQAE, presented agenda items and shared progress on ongoing quality assurance initiatives.
Key discussions focused on the Yearly Progress Report (YPR 2024–2025), RWU scoring 79.6 in HEC score (YPR 2023–2024), program accreditation, digitalization of OBE, RIPE implementation, approval of the Annual Activity Calendar 2025–2026, Program Review timelines, and the establishment plan for RWU–SCALE (Student Council for Academic Learning and Enhancement). Policy directions on academic monitoring, classroom management, and PhD-level assessment standards were also reviewed.
The Vice Chancellor emphasized the need for proactive planning, timely accreditation, digital transformation, and strong alumni engagement to further strengthen the university’s quality assurance ecosystem. RWU continues to strengthen its academic standards and institutional processes, reflecting its vision of becoming a premier women’s university contributing to national development.
3rd Institutional Quality Circle meeting (04, June 2025)
Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) held its 3rd Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) meeting on June 4, 2025, chaired by the Vice Chancellor and attended by department heads and administrative leaders. The meeting, organized by the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), began with a review of action items from the previous meeting, highlighting the successful conduction of PREE for 10 programs, implementation of the Student Complaint Portal, acquisition of PhD NOCs, and timely submission of the Institutional Performance Evaluation Report (IPER). Progress on SAR/ PREE, PGPR, and RIPE was also discussed, with departments directed to submit the 2025 Implementation Plan, PGPR proforma, action reports, and revised SARs The RIPE Review Report was deliberated in depth, leading to the formation of follow-up committees to oversee the implementation strategy. QEC will finalize and submit the Yearly Performance Report (YPR) to HEC, while the RIPE-based Implementation Plan will be disseminated across departments for necessary compliance.
2nd Institutional Quality Circle meeting (09 April, 2025)
The 2nd meeting of the Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) of Rawalpindi Women University was held on April 9, 2025, at the Vice Chancellor’s Secretariat under the chairpersonship of the Honorable Vice Chancellor. The meeting brought together Heads of Academic Departments, Administrative Heads, and Quality Assurance Representatives, reaffirming the university’s commitment to continuous quality enhancement. Key discussions focused on the review of progress related to Self-Assessment Reports (SARs) and the Program Review & Evaluation Exercise (PREE), along with timelines for RIPE and PGPR. Updates were shared on the formation of SCALE and the selection of Leadership Student Representatives (LSRs). The launch of the Student Complaint Portal was announced, alongside updates regarding PhD NOC submissions and preparations for the upcoming Institutional Performance Review (IPR). The meeting also emphasized the importance of strategic planning driven by measurable results. It concluded with a set of actionable steps, including the finalization of external reviews, revisions to the strategic plan, and improved mechanisms to enhance student engagement across the university.
IQC 2024
On December 12, 2024, Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) held its 1st Institutional Quality Circle (IQC) meeting, chaired by the Vice Chancellor and attended by Heads of Departments and administrative leaders. The meeting, led by the Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC), focused on key initiatives aimed at improving academic and administrative standards. Highlights included discussions on enhancing institutional quality through systematic reviews, conducting Programme Review for Effectiveness and Enhancement (PREE)/Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) with a completion deadline of February 15, 2025, and planning the Institutional Performance & Enhancement (RIPE) review for April-May 2025. The introduction of the Student Council for Academic Learning & Enhancement (SCALE) policy was proposed to engage students in quality processes. Additionally, strategic plans for departmental alignment with RWU’s vision, PhD NOC submissions to HEC, and the development of a student grievance online portal were addressed. The meeting also saw the formation of key committees to oversee quality assurance initiatives. The Vice Chancellor expressed gratitude and emphasized the importance of continuous improvement at RWU.
