RAWALPINDI: An awareness session was held at Rawalpindi Women University (RWU) to brief minority students about the Pakistan Minorities Welfare Fund Scholarship for 2026-27 and other available avenues of educational and financial assistance.
The session focused on helping students understand the scholarship process, including eligibility requirements, application procedures and supporting documents required for submission. Participants were also informed about financial assistance schemes available through Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal. Representatives of the Governor Punjab’s Coordinator for Minority Affairs and the Minority Massak Centre briefed students about support services, facilities and assistance available to minority communities.
Vice Chancellor RWU Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Zarif said the university remains committed to promoting student welfare and ensuring equitable access to educational opportunities. She called for exploring additional scholarship and financial support opportunities for deserving students. She also emphasized the need to strengthen linkages between academia and industry to facilitate internships and professional development opportunities for students and alumni.
