RWU Holds Coin and Stamp Design Contest to Celebrate Pak-China Friendship

An inter-university coin and stamp design competition titled “Pakistan-China Friendship: Cultural and Strategic Relations” was held at Rawalpindi Women University, bringing together students who presented creative interpretations of the longstanding relationship between Pakistan and China.

Organized under the directives of the Higher Education Department, the event aimed to encourage awareness of Pakistan–China relations while promoting creativity, cultural understanding, and artistic expression among students.

In the competition results, Khansa Bint-e-Babar from Rawalpindi Women University secured first position in coin design, while Hafiza Sajal Tooba Noor achieved first position in stamp design. The entries were assessed by a panel of fine arts experts and experts, who evaluated the work on creativity, thematic relevance, and artistic execution.

All participants were awarded e-certificates in recognition of their participation.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Bushra Mirza (PoP, T.I.) said that the 75-year-long Pakistan-China diplomatic relationship reflects trust, cooperation, and mutual respect. She noted that the partnership continues to grow across education, culture, and people-to-people linkages, and added that such creative activities help students better understand international friendships while expressing their ideas constructively.

Registrar Dr. Huma Rauf appreciated the students’ performance and said that such competitions help build confidence, improve critical thinking, and strengthen creative abilities among young learners.
