Mental Health Week
October 13–15, 2026
The Department of Psychology, in collaboration with the Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), organized Mental Health Week from October 13–15, 2026 under the theme “Lived Experiences Heard: Real Voices, Real Change,” with all university departments invited to participate.
The week began on October 13 with an informative seminar on Mental Health Across the Lifespan by Mr. Aoun Abbas, Clinical Psychologist at Holy Family Hospital highlighting the importance of psychological well-being at every stage of life. On October 14 and 15, the Mental Health Camp at the Fine Arts Department offered Wellness Check Stations for burnout, stress, and personality assessment, along with a Counselling Drop-in Booth for stress management support. The Healing Circle added interactive activities such as the tree of hope, the you are important, photo booth, and break the stigma, start the conversation initiative, creating a safe space for open dialogue.
Led by Chairperson Prof. Dr. Sobia Masood and Event Coordinator Dr. Zahida Ilyas, the week reaffirmed the university’s commitment to a supportive campus where Better Minds create Brighter Future.
